Job Title: Food Service/Prep Cook

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Prep Cook, where you will focus on preparing sides, appetizers, and desserts to delight a diverse student body. This role is essential in supporting the daily meal preparation for approximately 3,000 students, contributing to their educational experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items such as sides, appetizers, and desserts.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen after preparation and serving.
• Store or discard excess food in compliance with safe food handling procedures.
• Support the ordering and receiving of food supplies.
• Foster positive relationships with coworkers and the student body.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in food preparation, handling, and production.
• Customer service skills with a focus on interacting positively with students and faculty.
• Reliability in fulfilling job duties and maintaining a consistent work schedule.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in cooking is preferred but not required, with less than one year needed for prep cooks.
• Flexibility for shifts and hours, including availability for nights and weekends.
• Reliable transportation is preferred but not mandatory, as the location is accessible via public transport.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50/hr.
