Cashier - Food Service Worker

The role primarily involves managing cash and credit transactions in a school food service operation. You will assist in setting up and serving food from counters and steam tables, as well as ensure that equipment and workstations are cleaned and sanitized. Accurate operation of the cash register/POS system and completion of transactions is expected. Additional support to the retail operation, including setup, maintaining supplies and products, assisting in cleanup, and closing down is required. You will also help serve food when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Handle cash and credit transactions efficiently.
• Assist in the setup and serving of food from counters and steam tables.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and workstations.
• Operate the cash register/POS accurately and complete transactions.
• Support the retail operation by maintaining supplies and products.
• Assist in cleanup and closing down operations.
• Serve food as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience in food service and cashiering.
• Proficiency in operating POS systems.
• Ability to serve food and assist in food preparation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and stocking.
• Ability to help in the kitchen and perform line cook duties.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, Texas. Will be required to work from 10am- 7 pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $14.50 - $14.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
