2nd Shift Food Services Worker

Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and deliver patient meal trays according to dietary orders and individual preferences.
- Customize trays with appropriate drinks, desserts, and sides.
- Set up food service stations and assist with assembling breakfast trays.
- Deliver meals and snacks to patient care units, replace missing items, and offer suitable alternatives.
- Communicate with nursing staff regarding tray refusals or missing items.
- Document food and liquid intake for designated patients.
- Retrieve trays post-meal and ensure personal items are returned.
- Assist with dishwashing, sorting, and cleaning food carts.
- Distribute menus, explain meal selection processes, and assist patients with choices.
- Monitor new admissions and diet changes, ensuring accurate menu delivery.
- Fulfill special meal requests and obtain nursing staff sign-off.
- Maintain inventory of hospitality carts and deliver bulk nourishments.
- Provide clerical support to the Hospitality Service Office, including answering calls and entering patient preferences.
- Generate standard reports and attend departmental in-services.
Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation or volume cooking preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to operate basic computer systems for data entry and report generation.
- Previous experience as a line cook is a plus.
Work Environment
- Hospital-based Nutritional Services department.
- Refrigerated work areas and patient-facing responsibilities.
- Shifts run from 2 PM to 11 PM.
- Weekend availability is required — no exceptions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
