Field Service A Technician

Utilize your mechanical capabilities to perform maintenance on commercial and industrial boilers in the NYC/Long Island area. Work alongside an experienced, factory-trained technician who will provide instruction on all areas of repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on commercial/industrial boilers.
• Work with experienced technicians to learn repair and maintenance procedures.
• Utilize electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills in daily tasks.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repair tasks.
• Engage in field service and field engineering activities.
• Interpret schematics and blueprints for maintenance and repair.
• Apply knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and HVAC systems.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in boiler maintenance, combustion, and basic boiler circuits.
• Technical/vocational school training in HVAC or industrial boilers.
• Extensive knowledge of industrial boiler operations and maintenance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Ability to follow OSHA safety procedures and processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with PLC controls and tank monitoring systems.
• Understanding of BMS basics.
• Must have own hand tools.

Work Environment

Fieldwork environment involving travel with an experienced technician. Work in both hot and cold environments. Each candidate will receive their own car and tools for travel.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Vernon, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
