Field Service Technician

As a Field Service Technician, you will visit current customer sites to install CO2 monitors. This role involves light, low voltage work similar to fire alarm installations in commercial settings. The position is a result of new regulations concerning CO2. You will work with a variety of clients including restaurants, gas stations, and apartment/commercial buildings. The installation involves connecting monitors directly to systems using CAT 5 cabling.

Responsibilities

  • Visit customer sites to install CO2 monitors.
  • Perform light, low voltage installations similar to fire alarm setups.
  • Install monitors using CAT 5 cabling.
  • Use tools such as drills, wire snips, pliers, and crimps.
  • Run wires with attention to detail.
  • Drive to sites using your own reliable vehicle, with mileage compensated at $0.70 per mile.
  • Pick up materials from shop or depot as needed.
  • Interface with customers to explain the installation process.
  • Document work using a smartphone for GPS, photos, and mileage tracking.

Essential Skills

  • 2 years of experience in light construction, mechanical, or electrical fields.
  • Experience with low voltage or light electrical installations.
  • Experience with documentation using a smartphone.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and think independently on site.
  • Strong communication skills for customer interaction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • No certifications required.
  • Experience driving for work is beneficial.
  • DIY skills can be advantageous.
  • Experience with Aerotek expenses for documentation.

Work Environment

This role involves troubleshooting and problem-solving at job sites independently after completing training. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
