Field Service Technician

Travel Electrical Substation Technician

Travel to future electrical substation sites as part of a team.

Substations and transformers will arrive to site via truck. Team will unload and components from trucks using cranes, forklifts, etc.

Will stage components across site and prep components ready to be assembled into full substations

Will begin craning and lifting components into place and setting them onto concrete pads

Assembling transformers using cranes, forklifts, etc. Bolting large components together,

Mechanical assembly of transformers and substation components

Using wrenches and various hand tools to assemble units

Testing units and testing for correct assembly

Level 2 and level 3 technicians will fill transformers with oil and vacuum pump them and test.

Electrical company will then come in and energize the substation

Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience in assembling large mechanical components such as vehicles, machinery, electrical equipment etc. Candidates who have used basic hand tools and assembled mechanical components. Candidates with experience in doing some sort of technical assembly or maintenance.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Golden, CO.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
