Facilities Service Technician

As a Mobile Engineer, your primary role is to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple facilities. You are expected to demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area, such as Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations, while being multi-skilled in others. This role will be first shift and will be a contract to hire position. The contract will last 13 weeks. Pay rate is between $35 and $40 an hour. We need someone from the commercial facilities field with 5+ years of experience. HVAC is the key skill to have and a 608 EPA Universal is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to ensure facility and building systems meet applicable standards.
• Maintain equipment by cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts to keep HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels.
• Record readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
• Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical expertise and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience as a maintenance technician with HVAC, plumbing, piping, and electrical knowledge.
• Field service experience with a willingness to travel between multiple facilities.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• 8-10 years of experience in commercial facilities roles.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency with computers, specifically Word and Excel.
• Preferred experience from a trade school.
• Comfortable handling all aspects of maintenance, with a preference for mechanical tasks, especially HVAC.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
