F18 Flight Operations - General Mechanic
Perform maintenance operations on aircraft, aircraft equipment, engines, components, and systems in support of aircraft modification. This role involves Airframe & Powerplant repairs and may include Fuel Cell work.
Responsibilities:
- Remove, install, and rig flight controls.
- Conduct CDI or CDQAR inspections, including removal, installation, and functional checks.
- Perform high and low turns as a qualified technician.
- Remove and install hydraulic components.
- Conduct depot disassembly and rebuilds.
- Operate ground support equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and technical manuals.
- Set up and use pneumatic tools and torque wrenches.
- Use common hand tools like wrenches and safety wire pliers.
- Remove and replace panels, floorboards, and other components using mechanical fasteners.
- Familiarize and work with large aircraft components such as airframe and powerplant.
- Communicate effectively with team members and document maintenance actions clearly.
- Perform duties while wearing required safety equipment and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Order parts and equipment as needed and perform additional duties as directed by management.
Essential Skills:
- Experience in aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
- Proficiency in using pneumatic tools and torque wrenches.
- Experience with large aircraft and components.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Capability to document maintenance and repair actions clearly.
- Adherence to safety regulations and ability to work on all shifts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Airframe & Powerplant operations.
- Experience in depot-level maintenance.
- Ability to perform duties in various physical environments.

Work Environment:
Work in a military hangar with two shifts available: 1st Shift from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm, and 2nd Shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The environment is open-bay and non-climate controlled. Employees can expense up to $100 per year for Steel Toed Shoes.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
