Electronic Service Technician
As an Electronic Service Technician, you will be dispatched to local/national, worldwide food packaging facilities to install, service, repair, or maintain systems, products, or equipment. Your role is crucial in providing excellent customer service and maximizing customer satisfaction. Expect to travel up to 60% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Orphea to control electrical/electronic systems.
- Operate hand and power tools.
- Wire systems based on drawings and schematics.
- Set up weigh systems and perform calibrations.
- Troubleshoot and repair systems.
- Install computers and servers.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Investigate complaints, conduct tests, and resolve problems.
- Order and gather components/parts and complete installations.
- Communicate effectively with clients onsite daily.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
- Assemble, align, and install equipment.
- Use voltmeters and basic hand tools.
- Lead startups including all mechanical and electrical tasks, and train clients on machinery operation and maintenance.
- Conduct audits and inspections during slow times.
- Clean and winterize equipment at the end of harvest seasons.
Essential Skills
- Technical degree, certification or minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical work or electronics repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
- Experience in computer/server setup, repair, and operation.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of high and low voltage electrical systems with troubleshooting, diagnosis, and installation capabilities.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to obtain a passport.
- Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience repairing mechanical machinery or mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and testing, including PLC debugging, automation, and VFDs.
- Familiarity with control systems networking.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience in software diagnostics and customer service.
- Strong VFD and PLC experience.
- Knowledgeable about safety and best sanitary practices.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and manage time effectively.

Work Environment
This position is based out of Yakima, supporting the OR, ID, and WA areas. The role involves extensive travel, with hotel accommodations and meal allowances provided. The scheduled shift is from 6 am to 2:30 pm, but flexibility is required as you will be on-call and may need to respond to urgent situations. A company vehicle is provided, and mileage reimbursement is available if using a personal vehicle.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
