Drone Operator

Aerotek is seeking a drone operator, with assisting in the development and test of cutting-edge safety related technologies, by collecting and reporting on field data from drone test flights and commercial flights. Part 107 license required.

Job Description:

The role includes mission planning and lightweight maintenance duties. The candidate should demonstrate attention to detail, a safety-oriented attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology. This individual will also conduct limited operation readiness activities and logistics planning as needed. Based near Boeing Field in south Seattle, they will travel up to 75% of the time to various flight test sites, mostly in Texas.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Current 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, or commercial pilot's license

General aeronautical knowledge

Valid driver's license and able to satisfy client driver eligibility criteria

Experience with commercial UAS industry

Must be experienced and capable with office products and reporting tools - Microsoft suite, creating reports, etc.

Preferred Skills:

Aviation safety experience (safety officer, or familiar with FAA regulations)

2 years of remote control pilot experience

Aviation safety experience as a safety officer or similar

Excellent business communications and reporting skills

Jira experience (program management software)

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
