Inventory Support Specialist

This position involves supporting the order desk by engaging with walk-in customers, explaining the layout of stone slabs in the showroom, and guiding them through the selection process. Additionally, you will be responsible for tracking all incoming and outgoing inventory using our Warehouse Management System, Profit.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist walk-in customers by explaining showroom layout and showcasing stone slabs.
  • Track and manage incoming and outgoing inventory using the Profit system.
  • Receive load sheets and perform data entry tasks accurately.
  • Read and interpret Excel sheets to manage inventory records.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and ensure proper documentation.
  • Answer phone calls and provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory control tasks.

Essential Skills:

  • At least 1 year of experience in inventory management or order desk operations.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including data entry and use of inventory systems.
  • Ability and willingness to answer phones and engage with customers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.

Work Environment:

Work in a warehouse setting for a national distributor of natural and manufactured stone, tile, and other solid surfaces, suitable for both commercial and residential applications. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7AM - 5PM, eventually shifting to 6AM - 4PM with rotating Saturdays from 9AM - 1PM every third week. The facility is closed on Sundays and holidays. Refreshments such as water, ice, Gatorade, and coffee are provided. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes, work jeans, and a plain T-shirt. The role does not require heavy lifting.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract to hire position based out of Scottsdale, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
