Now Hiring: Machinist (Manual or CNC)
As a machinist, you will be responsible for operating and setting up a variety of machine tools to produce high-precision metal or plastic parts. Your role will involve reading and interpreting technical drawings, selecting and installing the correct tools, measuring and inspecting parts, and performing routine machine maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up a variety of machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and drills.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand part specifications.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools and determine correct speeds and feeds.
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet required dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines, reporting any mechanical issues.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Modify and adjust machine settings for optimal performance.
- Identify and resolve machining issues such as incorrect dimensions and tool wear.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Essential Skills:
- Experience with CNC, lathe, and mill operations.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and machine setup.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Familiarity with Fanuc control, Haas, Hwacheon, and g-code/m-code.
- Strong measuring skills using tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Great attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience with horizontal and vertical mill machines.
- Knowledge of conventional/manual machining.
- CNC programming experience, particularly with Fanuc and Mazak.

Job Type & Location:
This is a contract to hire position based out of Hampton, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
