Vaccine Manufacturing Technician

Join our team as a vaccine manufacturing technician, where you will play a crucial role in preparing glassware for sterilization and media preparation. This position offers a 1st shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work, and flexible start and end times between 6:30 AM and 6:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Manually wash or operate machines to clean and remove impurities from glass products, manufactured articles, and plastics.
• Remove glassware and media from autoclaves, cool and tighten lids.
• Organize and rotate glassware and laboratory supplies.
• Prepare equipment for autoclaving.
• Maintain accurate documentation of processes.
• Assist with training new employees.
• Maintain, clean, or sterilize laboratory instruments or equipment.
• Perform routine cleaning of the processing area.
• Cross-train in multiple functional areas.
• Requisition materials for the department as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Adapt to flexible hours and work weekends or holidays as required by business needs.

Essential Skills

• Cleaning and sterile processing
• Proficiency in washing and sterilization techniques
• Experience with autoclaves and production processes
• Media preparation and documentation process

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency
• Preference for some post-secondary education

Work Environment

The work environment includes exposure to heat when operating autoclaves and moisture when disinfecting glassware. Physical demands require lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, moving throughout all production areas, and standing and bending during the entire shift. Good eyesight and hand-eye coordination are necessary for success in this role.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
