Brazer Technician

Pay: $25/hr to $35/hr

Hours: 6am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday (4 10's)

Location: East Mesa

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Brazer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will perform brazing tasks using a gas torch on copper materials, ensuring precise assembly of valves and components onto compressors and evaporators. This role requires working with power tools, hand tools, and the ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Perform brazing using a gas torch on copper materials with filler metals.
• Assemble valves and components onto compressors and evaporators using power and hand tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and shop orders.
• Conduct first article inspections and report any defects or issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Collaborate with team members across shifts and departments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and problem-solving.
• Use ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools to track production and inventory.
• Be flexible to train across different areas and support other shifts as needed.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Standing for the majority of the day.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to see the full spectrum of colors.
• Experience with power tools and hand tools for assembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• No prior brazing experience required; candidates can be students from a welding or brazing program.
• Brazing experience is a plus, especially from plumbing or manufacturing.
• Blueprint reading ability from school or on-the-job experience.
• Safety shoes required; all other personal protective equipment provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
