Service Technician
This role involves swapping out thermostats and relay boards on single or multiple units, while demonstrating proficiency in building automation systems. The position is accountable for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing customer equipment. It requires instructing customers and sales personnel on the operation and maintenance of equipment, performing warranty work and start-up service, and offering technical support in product service, training, and applications.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair customer equipment.
- Perform testing, calibration, checking, correcting, adjusting, and part component replacement services on customer products.
- Construct and test circuits and equipment using various tools and machines such as computers, workstations, circuit diagrams, and test instruments/equipment.
- Instruct customers and sales personnel on the operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Analyze complex problems in equipment and machinery and interpret maintenance manuals to isolate and correct faults.
- Consult with product support and engineering personnel to determine solutions to complex problems in system operation.
- Report customer suggestions on product improvement and existing product designs to the appropriate technical specialist.
- Assist in developing design modifications and implement them, providing installation support for modifications.
- Develop and implement training courseware and provide training to customers and other service representatives.
- Develop and maintain ongoing customer relationships regarding all aspects of equipment repair and maintenance.
- Maintain service equipment, tools, and documentation.
- Lead a team of helpers to move materials, clean up the site, and perform installations.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in building automation systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Experience with installation and relay equipment.
- Understanding of thermostat systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in the field.
- 1-3 years of service experience.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25/hr.
