Assemblers

Join our service department, where you will work on products returned from the field in need of diagnostics and repair. You will be responsible for receiving products, understanding customer complaints, and opening service procedures in our computer system. As you proceed with diagnostics and repairs, you may occasionally need to solder new power jacks onto boards. Training will be provided for soldering if necessary. For any board issues, you will swap them out instead of attempting repairs. You will also perform assembly operations using basic hand and power tools and conduct calibrations and variable testing with oscilloscopes and gilibrators.

Responsibilities

• Receive and assess products returned from the field.
• Read and understand customer complaints.
• Open service procedures in the computer system.
• Perform diagnostics and repairs as needed.
• Notify technicians if assistance is required with diagnostics.
• Solder new power jacks onto boards when necessary.
• Swap out defective boards without attempting repairs.
• Conduct assembly operations using basic hand and power tools.
• Perform calibrations and variable testing using oscilloscopes and gilibrators.

Essential Skills

• Experience in soldering and using a microscope.
• Ability to follow work instructions.
• Mechanical and electronic assembly skills.
• Electro-mechanical expertise.
• At least one year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Experience using hand and electric tools.
• Ability to manipulate small objects.
• Proficiency in reading and following detailed procedures and verbal instructions.

Job Type & Location

This is a permanent position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
