Assembler $20/hr - 1st Shift

This role involves assembling products in a manufacturing environment while meeting quality, safety, and production standards. You will work primarily on the first shift, using hand and power tools, following detailed work instructions, and accurately documenting production activities.

Responsibilities

• Assemble company products at the standard production rate while maintaining consistent quality.
• Follow written work instructions and procedures to complete each job accurately and safely.
• Complete required quality documentation and ensure all records are accurate and up to date.
• Accurately post production transactions using shop floor data collection devices.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and diagrams to correctly assemble products.
• Use personal hand and power tools to assist in assembling equipment as needed.
• Support general production tasks such as basic painting, paint preparation, and material handling when required.
• Assist with general labor activities related to production, construction-style tasks, and light landscaping or facility support as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals.

Work Environment

This position is on the first shift, working Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime available as needed. The facility is clean, well-lit, and temperature-controlled, providing a comfortable and organized manufacturing environment. While performing the job, you will regularly stand, walk, use your hands to handle and feel components, reach with hands and arms, and communicate with team members. You will occasionally climb or balance and may need to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to complete certain tasks. The role requires regularly lifting and moving up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting and moving up to 100 pounds using proper safety practices and equipment. You will use hand and power tools, mechanical drawings, and shop floor data collection devices as part of your daily work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sandusky, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
