Lead Systems Engineer (Windows)

AERMOR is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer (Windows) to provide expertise in the design, implementation, and management of Windows-based enterprise systems in support of Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This role requires hands-on experience with Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, virtualization technologies, and enterprise storage solutions. The Engineer will ensure secure, reliable, and scalable systems that meet mission requirements in classified and mission-critical environments.

This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Windows Server–based environments.
• Configure and maintain Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory services.
• Support virtualization environments with VMWare.
• Design, integrate, and support enterprise storage systems (e.g., NetApp, EMC, VAST).
• Manage system and network operations using TCP/IP and associated protocols.
• Ensure systems are secure, compliant, and optimized for performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate mission requirements into technical solutions.
• Prepare and maintain system documentation, diagrams, and reports.
• Provide leadership, technical guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers.

Required Experience:

• At least 4 years of professional experience in the below areas.
• Operating systems design and implementation for DoD programs.
• Windows Server administration and enterprise-level system design.
• Integration and management of Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and VMWare.
• Enterprise storage systems such as NetApp, EMC, or VAST.
• TCP/IP networking in secure corporate environments.
• Must hold Information Assurance Technician (IAT) II certification.
