Lead Senior Systems Engineer (Network)

AERMOR is seeking a Lead Senior Systems Engineer (Network) to provide advanced technical expertise and leadership in the design, implementation, and management of enterprise network systems. This role requires in-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN environments, network hardware, and modern communication technologies. The Engineer will be responsible for ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient network designs that meet mission-critical requirements in DoD environments. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of LAN/WAN networks in enterprise environments.
• Configure and manage networking technologies including Cisco, Juniper, TCP/IP, and VoIP.
• Design, install, and support routers, switches, firewalls, fiber optics, and cable plant systems.
• Ensure network systems are secure, resilient, and compliant with DoD and industry standards.
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and optimization of network infrastructure.
• Provide technical oversight for system integration, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technical solutions.
• Prepare system documentation, design diagrams, and reports using network design best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff in networking disciplines.

Required Experience:

• At least 6 years of professional work and leadership experience in:
• Design and implementation of LAN/WAN corporate environments.
• Configuration and management of Cisco, Juniper, TCP/IP, and VoIP technologies.
• Network hardware (routers, switches, fiber optics, firewalls) and cable plant designs.
• Must hold Information Assurance Technician (IAT) III certification.
