Project Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in confirming the successful execution of projects, maintaining high standards of professionalism, and contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of project deliverables.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain professionalism in attire and communication during site visits and meetings.
  • Confirm technical execution, compliance, and coordination in alignment with project requirements.
  • Represent the organization effectively, adhering to contract requirements and project deliverables.
  • Document daily site events impacting project schedule, budget, scope, or quality.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly updates, as per project requirements.
  • Manage project files and documentation in designated systems and drives.
  • Interpret specifications, plans, and construction documents to confirm project alignment.
  • Coordinate and oversee the review and maintenance of as-built drawings.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive list of submittals from construction contract documents.
  • Facilitate the review and approval of submittals within specified timeframes.
  • Follow safety protocols and report unsafe activities or near misses promptly.
  • Maintain and coordinate logs for Requests for Information (RFIs), confirming accurate and timely responses.

Minimum Requirement:

  • BA/BS in engineering or a related field + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • 2 years of relevant experience in project engineering or construction management.

Preferred Requirement:

  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical documents and specifications.
  • Familiarity with GSA project management systems and tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
