Experienced Network Planning Engineer - Water Infrastructure
Due to significant contract awards within our Water business, we are expanding our Water Infrastructure team in Melbourne.
The Water Infrastructure group provides services to a range of internal and external clients on projects covering water and wastewater treatment, dams, asset management, major conveyance, industrial, civil infrastructure, and defence sectors, with a key focus on supporting sustainable outcomes for our clients and the communities they serve. By joining our team, you'll be immersed in a strong, long-term pipeline of work, handling complex, large-scale and iconic projects across ANZ.
How you'll make a difference:
- Proactive delivery of high-quality and timely valued water network planning solutions that are focused on flexibility, sustainability, optimisation, integration, whole-of-lifecycle cost and acceptable risk.
- Utilise your creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual project delivery, technical and client challenges, determining technical objectives and requirements, and developing standards and guides for technical activities and applications.
- Provide technical direction, mentor and train our junior professionals, fostering the growth and development of the team.
- Business development activities including client engagement, proposal preparation and bid management.
The qualities that help you thrive:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Demonstrated network planning experience that demonstrates the development and evaluation of options and proficient in hydraulic network modelling of water and/or wastewater systems.
- An understanding of current and potential future policy, practice, trends, technology, and information affecting water planning, including drivers, regulation, framework, and guidelines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport and communicate with various stakeholders.
- Appreciation of clients within the water and other water-related markets such as land development, private water utilities, local and state government as in major urban water utilities, regional authorities etc.
- Experience or an interest in project management.
