Job Description

As a Graduate Engineer within our highly successful Transmission & Distribution team, you will be involved in both the primary and secondary design of substation projects throughout Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). Your Graduate time with us will allow you to experience all aspects of Transmission & Distribution electrical engineering and help you decide where your interests lie and what opportunities you want to pursue further when you transition to a professional-level role.

You'll be working in a supportive, experienced team with a wide range of high-calibre clients on the preparation of substation electrical primary and secondary design, and studies such as grounding, lightning protection, and power systems analysis. Each week will provide new opportunities and challenges.

How you'll make a difference:

  • Concept and detailed design of substation primary and secondary systems for New Zealand and Australian clients, including report writing and specifications
  • Conducting site visits, inspections, and testing as required (e.g. soil resistivity testing)
  • Providing construction support during the build phase while collaborating across multiple disciplines to deliver projects
  • Supporting project delivery by preparing budget estimates and ensuring outputs meet time, quality, and cost objectives
