Schedule: Full-time (40)

Shift: Days; Monday - Thursday 6:30 AM- 5 pm

Location: Porter Hospital- 2525 S DOWNING ST, Denver, 80210

The role you'll contribute:

Provides administrative support, and unit clerical and customer service support to the department to facilitate quality of patient care. Coordinates, retrieves and communicates information, including diagnostic and lab results between physicians, staff, and other departments. Performs clerical and reception duties including answering multiple phone lines, taking messages, and routes appropriately.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Serves as receptionist for the department, greeting physicians, vendors, patients and visitors to the department.
• Responsible for all incoming phone lines, handles numerous specialty calls, routing to appropriate resource. Answers telephone in a timely manner.
• Communicates with physicians, patients, family members, and visitors in person or via phone, including updating family members during patients surgery; handles or routes requests to the appropriate resource in a competent, caring manner.
• Serves as a liaison between departments and hospitals to coordinate timely service of staff and supplies, particularly in cases of emergent surgery.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

Required qualifications:

• High School Grad or Equiv

Desired qualifications:

• Proficiency in computer skills and data entry
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
• Experience using EPIC electronic health record system
