Experienced Software Development Engineer

Advantest is a leading supplier of semiconductor test solutions. SmarTest and 93000 is one of the most successful SOC test systems comprising both state-of-the-art system hardware and software. The associated R&D sites are located in Germany and China.

It is currently seeking an experienced software development engineer to join this global R&D software team in Xi'an. The candidates will be working on a huge, challenging & continuously evolving system, which is actually a complex computing & measuring eco-system. It starts from very low-level dedicated architecture, driver levels to operating system levels, and application development level UIs (both developing languages and GUIs).

As a senior-level professional and technical leader, what you should do:

1. Quickly learn the basic knowledge of ATE system, also accumulate necessary application knowledge, especially SmarTest8 and 93000.
2. Ramp up deep knowledge of sub-system (Test Method Library, Protocol Aware), and be familiar with the software development environment.
3. Independently design, develop, and deliver software components with high quality as a member of a software project team with active teamwork and sincere attitude.
4. Communicate with stakeholders, strong organizational skill to work with cross-functional and cross-site in requirements analysis, architecture and high-level design.
5. Be aware of business needs, contribute to plan and roadmap. Provides market or operational insights for better business solutions and innovations.
6. Assist his/her project manager to partially or fully take on parts of project management processes (planning and execution) with reliable judgment and guidance.
7. Accountable for leading smaller projects, driving roadmap and define vision.
