✨ About The Role
- Lead and inspire technological excellence in battery materials and energy storage, focusing on advancing manufacturing techniques for Advano's proprietary Si/C composite materials
- Collaborate with materials engineers to integrate innovative materials into the manufacturing framework
- Design and optimize CVD processes tailored for Advano's Si/C composites to identify optimal deposition parameters
- Analyze coating performance in relation to materials and process variables, continually improving the CVD process to achieve desired coating characteristics
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to facilitate the scale-up production and ensure products meet target specifications
⚡ Requirements
- Advanced Degree in materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in the active anode or battery industry
- Experience leading the development of battery anode electrodes and processes for high-energy-density lithium-ion batteries
- Proficiency in implementing Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) methods for applying coatings to silicon-carbon composites
- Ability to innovate and assess novel silicon-carbon composite materials through laboratory-scale processes
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to influence technical and business teams, and successful key partnering demonstrated at all levels of the organization
