The Role: AMD is looking for a senior software engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor, you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading AI technologies to market.

The Person: The ideal candidate possesses an innovative and problem-solving mindset, has a keen eye for software engineering development, and is diligent and passionate about technology. A successful candidate will need to employ strong knowledge in computer technologies, leadership skills in technical areas, and SW engineering expertise as well as a strong ability to compete effectively in a fast-paced, relevant environment while working with different teams of engineers and collaborators.

Key Responsibilities

• Model Development & Training
• Automate model training and evaluation pipelines for reproducibility and scalability.
• Model Optimization
• Apply quantization, pruning, and graph optimization techniques for efficient inference.
• Performance Benchmarking
• Develop and maintain benchmarking suites for model and hardware performance comparison across platforms (GPU, NPU, CPU, etc.).
• Generate and analyze performance reports to guide optimization strategies.
• Deployment & Integration
• Package and deploy AI models into end-to-end applications or SDKs.
• Integrate AI inference pipelines into production systems, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Tooling & Workflow Automation
• Design and develop internal tools or frameworks to streamline AI training, optimization, and deployment workflows.
• Contribute to pipelines and reproducible experiment tracking.

Preferred Experience

Experience with heterogeneous computing (CUDA, ROCm, NPU SDKs, etc.). Familiarity with model deployment frameworks (e.g., ONNX, TensorRT, OpenVINO) Experience in building benchmarking or automation tools for AI workflows Understanding of containerization and distributed training (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.). Contribution to open-source AI or ML infrastructure projects is a plus.

Academic Credentials

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, AI/ML, or a related field.
