The Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Physical Design Leader with expertise in Server Board/System Design and Design Techniques in Data Center Platform Engineering (DPEG). You will be responsible to work with ODM/OEM/Customer for the Design review and recommendation for the AMD Data Center products in this expanding and strategic market. To accomplish this, you will need to interact with other key engineering teams such as silicon design, board designer, Platform/system design, validation and manufacturing within AMD.

The Person:

• You are required to have design Layout and Schematic experience in microelectronic field and preferred if you have working experience in Data center or Server Board/System design
• You have excellent communication and presentation skills, demonstrated through technical publications, presentations, trainings, executive briefings, etc.
• You are highly adapt at collaboration among top-thinkers and engineers alike, ready to mentor and guide, and help to elevate the knowledge and skills of the team around you.
• You are experienced in leading teams of senior engineers

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be working closely with ODM/OEM/Customer to review and provide recommendations on customer system and board design with reference to internal design guide and specifications provided by development team.
• Pro-actively works with peers in technology and design reviews
• Quantify impacts of technology issues in design reviews and able to raise issue with ODM/customer to ensure design are robust for implementation.
• Represent the ODM/customer from a technical perspective to work with internal team to find right solution for implementation give the requirement from design perspective.
• Work cross functionally across CPU/GPU Cores team to identify and assess complex technical issues/risks, and develop solutions
• Work closely with Design teams to pick up and understand future design requirement during development stage and deploy the design reference and specification requirement for ODM/customer implementations.

Preferred Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in CAD design Layout and Schematic or Server System/Rack Level Design
• Experience leading technical teams and working closely with DOM/customer team
• Experienced in high-speed microprocessor designs
• Ability to create new design ideas and design flow
• Knowledge of current sub-micro technologies for Server/Data center system
• Solid understanding Physical Design tools and flows or custom circuit design

Academic Credentials:

• Electrical or Computer Engineering Degree.
