Based in our office in Gothenburg, Sweden, we are seeking an outstanding engineer with a passion for processor design and verification to define, specify, develop, and verify new and enhanced functionality in the AMD MicroBlaze V RISC-V processor and other related Intellectual Property cores. You will join a team whose design and development activities cover a wide range of disciplines including specification, implementation, verification, benchmarking and analysis of the processor and cache coherency architectures. This senior role will stretch you as you participate in the microprocessor design team, network with our world-class, patent-holding think-tank, and collaborate with design teams, marketing, and business unit executives.
You have excellent communication and presentation skills. You are highly adept at collaboration among top-thinkers and engineers alike, ready to mentor and guide, and help to elevate the knowledge and skills of the team around you.
Detailed knowledge of microprocessor architecture, with expertise in CPU design, FPGA architecture, coherency, Security, and Functional Safety. Strong VHDL and System Verilog experience. Verification methodologies such as UVM and formal methods. Well versed in scripting using Tcl, Perl and Python languages. Strong C programming experience. Experience in RTL synthesis, timing optimization, low power design and power optimization. Cache coherency acceleration and industry standard protocols such as CXL. AMD Vivado and Vitis tools. Excellent communication, management, and presentation skills. Adept at collaboration with strong interpersonal skills to work across teams in different geographies.
Master’s degree in related discipline preferred.
