The role: As a passionate and dedicated member of the CG SOC Power team, you will collaborate on the next generation of products for some of AMD's most important clients. You will engage in System on Chip and IP power architecture exploration, modeling, and analysis for customer-specific markets and workloads.
The person: Self-driven and motivated individual who enjoys exploring power topics and working across multiple teams to deliver the best possible Perf/W.
Key responsibilities:
Preferred experience: Excellent organization, and communication skills. Very good understanding of CPU, GPU, IO, and computer system architecture. Good understanding of device physics, related to power dissipation. Meticulous attention to details. Platform power measurement and prototyping. Working experience of UNIX/Linux operating systems and Microsoft Excel. Experience with VCS-NLP simulations, Primetime PX, Power Artist, or similar EDA power simulation tool. Optionally experience with UPF power intent is helpful.
Academic credentials: Bachelor of Science degree with emphasis in Electrical Engineering, Computer architecture, or Computer Science with commercial experience required, or Master of Science degree with emphasis in Electrical Engineering, Computer architecture, or Computer Science.
