Technical Support Specialist

Responsible for identifying the needs of the channels and providing technical support for the product offering, working hand in hand with the sales team and contributing to the closing of business in the assigned region.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide support to the sales team in the required pre-sales functions, contributing to proposals, negotiations, and closing of business.
  2. Identify current and future customer service needs by establishing a good personal relationship with potential and actual customers and other people in a position to understand service requirements.
  3. Provide technical and engineering information about products, services, and/or equipment of the different solutions in charge; answering technical questions and requests from commercial colleagues, channel or customer.
  4. Conduct presentations at events, providing technical information, solving customer concerns, performing sizing, proof of concepts, and technical support.
  5. Contribute to the training and development of the client, providing technical information, conducting technical training, workshops, technical webinars, and other resources to advance technically in the channel programs of the assigned lines.
  6. Train technical and commercial staff through workshops/seminars on our manufacturers' solutions.
  7. Determine improvements by analyzing the cost-benefit relationship of equipment, supplies, or service applications in the customer's environment.
  8. Contribute to the sales team regarding new technologies, solutions, and trends.
  9. Keep professional and technical knowledge up to date by attending educational workshops and performing the technical certifications required by the wholesaler program in the assigned lines.
  10. Design the global architecture of an adequate technical solution to meet the customer's needs.
  11. Perform proof of concept or demonstrations when required in a duly registered opportunity and agreed budget with the sales team.
  12. Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information, engineering trends, and applications.
  13. Contribute to the effectiveness of sales engineering by identifying short and long-term problems that need to be addressed; providing information, recommendations, proposing courses of action, and implementation directives.
  14. Note: The position may perform other projects or miscellaneous tasks as requested or assigned.

Profile of the Position

Education

  • University/Technical in the last cycle or Graduate in Systems, Networks, Informatics, Telecommunications, or related fields

Experience

  • Between 6 months to 1 year in similar positions.

Knowledge

  • Design of infrastructure and data center solutions (Non-exclusive)
  • ERPs (Preferably)
  • Microsoft Office, General Systems, knowledge of software and hardware of computing equipment

Languages

  • English – Intermediate Level (Preferably)
