HR Assistant
Addison Group is partnering with our client to identify an HR Assistant to support day-to-day human resources operations. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented HR professional who enjoys working across multiple HR functions in a fast-paced environment.
The HR Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team, assisting with recruiting coordination, onboarding, employee documentation, compliance tracking, and internal HR initiatives. This role plays a key part in ensuring HR processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support throughout the recruitment lifecycle, including scheduling and coordination
- Assisting with new hire onboarding activities, ensuring documentation and processes are completed accurately and on time
- Initiating, monitoring, and tracking background screening results and relaying updates as needed
- Supporting offboarding processes by managing required documentation and compliance steps
- Responding to employee questions and requests with professionalism and discretion
- Maintaining organized, accurate, and confidential employee records
- Updating HR systems, spreadsheets, and internal databases with a high level of accuracy
- Tracking employee time-off balances, including PTO, vacation, and sick leave
- Assisting with calculating and processing vacation or leave payouts when applicable
- Providing administrative support during benefits enrollment periods
- Maintaining training files and records to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Assisting with scheduling and coordinating training programs and performance review activities
- Communicating with leadership regarding training schedules and development initiatives
- Reviewing HR documentation and training records for completeness and compliance
- Supporting internal HR audits, reporting, and data collection efforts
- Preparing and generating routine HR reports as requested
- Assisting with HR projects, employee engagement initiatives, and morale-building activities
- Providing backup reception or general administrative support as needed
- Performing additional duties to support overall office and HR operations
Qualifications include:
- 3–4 years of experience in an HR or administrative support role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
