Database Engineer - Postgres, MySQL, Ansible and Terraform
Location: Remote - Candidate must be in EST or CST ONLY
Salary: $135 - $145K + bonus

Database Engineer to join our DBA function of the team. This is a senior hands-on role supporting high-volume, real-time transactional systems, with the opportunity to shape the team's standards and practices from the ground up.
What we need:
- 7+ years in database admin/support, incl. 7+ with Postgres
- Deep expertise in performance tuning, HA, clustering (pg_auto_failover)
- Strong SQL and indexing skills
- Experience with OLTP environments, replication, backup/recovery
- MySQL, Terraform/Ansible, and Perl experience are nice to have
- Self-starter, comfortable working independently and cross-functionally
Key responsibilities:
- Design and optimize schemas, queries, and indexes
- Troubleshoot performance issues and manage replication/HA
- Collaborate with Engineering/Ops on deployment and automation
- Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and infra tooling
