Substation Operations and Equipment Reliability:
Ensure uninterrupted substation operations by maintaining equipment availability as per defined targets and minimizing forced outages.
Optimize switchyard equipment performance by implementing structured preventive, periodic, Predictive and breakdown maintenance for CBs, Isolators, Transformers, and auxiliary systems.
Strengthen SCADA system integration and monitoring to improve substation control, real-time diagnostics, and fault response.
Preventive, Predictive and Corrective Maintenance:
Achieve 100% execution of preventive & predictive maintenance activities by planning and scheduling daily, monthly, and annual maintenance programs.
Reduce unplanned downtime by implementing proactive troubleshooting and condition-based monitoring of EHV substation equipment.
Optimize annual shutdown time and outage planning by aligning maintenance schedules with system availability to ensure minimal disruption.
Protection System Management and Testing:
Ensure reliable protection system operation by conducting testing, maintenance, and compliance verification for EHV substation relays and circuits.
Improve fault detection and mitigation by analyzing protection system performance and implementing enhancements in coordination with OEMs.
Maintain detailed protection system records and compliance documentation to meet regulatory and operational standards.
Safety, Compliance, and HSE Adherence:
Ensure safety-first operations by enforcing HSE norms, conducting hazard identification, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Strengthen operational safety by implementing protective interlocking schemes, emergency response plans, and periodic risk assessments.
Improve documentation compliance by maintaining IMS standards, safety checklists, and regulatory audit reports for substations.
Budget Planning and Inventory Optimization:
Optimize substation maintenance budgets by ensuring cost-effective planning and execution while staying within approved expenditure limits.
Improve inventory efficiency by tracking critical spares, managing procurement cycles, and ensuring adequate stock availability.
Reduce cost overruns and material wastage by standardizing procurement processes and aligning inventory levels with operational needs.
Stakeholder Management and Cross-Department Coordination:
Strengthen coordination with site teams, control centres, and maintenance units to ensure smooth substation operations.
Collaborate with OEMs, service providers, and regulatory bodies for technical support, compliance verification, and continuous system improvement.
Improve cross-functional communication by working closely with planning, finance, and HSE teams to align maintenance priorities with business objectives.
Team Leadership and Operational Excellence:
Enhance team productivity and skill development by providing technical guidance, work allocation, and training on troubleshooting methodologies.
