About the Role
We are seeking a SysOps Engineer based in Berlin, Germany to help shape and define the next iteration of the infrastructure that manages Ada Health's IT and endpoints. Reporting into our Director of Platform, you will leverage configuration tools such as Atlassian, Okta and Jamf Pro as well as a range of enterprise software to maintain a consistent and seamless user experience for our employees.
This position offers a hybrid working model with one to two days in the office per week.
What You'll Do
- Continue developing our internal IT infrastructure and services (Okta, Github, Google Workspace, Cloudflare, Jira, Confluence, Slack), network (UniFi), including cloud servers (GCP, AWS).
- Optimize Okta Administration through automation, leveraging Okta Workflows and API integrations to automate identity management tasks and enhance security and efficiency.
- Manage and scale our fleet of macOS and Windows devices and related infrastructure (Jamf Pro, Intune).
- Administer, maintain, and provide technical support for Atlassian tools, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence.
- Manage hardware inventory and ensure effective lifecycle management of all physical assets.
- Drive security standards in collaboration with the information security team and establish best practices for our enterprise environment.
- Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g. GDPR) and manage backups and recovery processes.
- Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd level IT support to employees through our Jira service desk
What You'll Bring
- 3-5 years experience in a similar IT role.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Okta Administration, Okta Workflows, Jamf and Google Workspace is essential.
- Experience managing macOS or Linux operating systems in an enterprise environment.
- Experience with Atlassian, Github and managing API integrations is ideal but is not essential. Writing infrastructure as code is a plus!
- Knowledge of one or more programming languages, such as Python or Bash would be preferred.
- Strong communicator and a solution-oriented mindset with a focus on improving IT infrastructure and user experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (bonus points if you can also speak German).
