Water Wastewater Engineer
Join a well-established mid-sized firm with a rich history in engineering infrastructure for both public and private sectors since 1978. Specializing in the design and engineering of roads, bridges, water reclamation systems, and wastewater design, the firm operates locally within Ohio, collaborating with ODOT District 3, Lorain County, and various municipalities across West Cleveland, Elyria, and the Mansfield/Columbus area.
Responsibilities
- Provide coordination between clients and internal staff.
- Develop detailed designs and plans for water and wastewater treatment, pumping stations, sanitary collection systems, and water distribution systems.
- Conduct construction inspections and develop technical specifications.
- Prepare permit applications, sewer system evaluation surveys, and cost estimates.
- Assist with the development of project scopes and schedules.
Essential Skills
- Civil Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing water/wastewater projects, including pump stations, sanitary collection systems, and water distribution systems.
- At least 2 years of experience utilizing AutoCAD (Civil 3D).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- FE/EIT certification.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience working on municipal projects.
Work Environment
Work in a newly established office in Lorain, OH, operating 5 days a week. The office is a standalone building with 10 private offices, providing you with your own workspace. You will report to the manager based in Mansfield, OH, and the director of engineering.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lorain, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
