Location: Orange, CA (On-site)Salary Range: $130,000 – $150,000 + BenefitsEmployment Type: Full-Time, Direct HireAbout the RoleAre you ready to take on a technical leadership position that bridges the gap between senior management and junior engineering staff? This mid-level role combines process engineering expertise with project management responsibilities, offering a clear path to senior leadership for those who want to grow their career.You'll work on complex wastewater and industrial projects (75% wastewater, 25% industrial), mentor junior engineers, and lead select projects independently—all while applying your technical skills in Civil 3D, process design, and QA/QC oversight.What You'll DoDesign & Technical Leadership:Apply process and civil engineering principles to wastewater treatment and industrial utility projects.Prepare layout plans, specifications, and ensure QA/QC compliance.Support permitting and regulatory requirements.Mentorship & Management:Manage and mentor 1–3 junior staff members.Act as a middle manager between senior leadership and project teams.Project Delivery:Lead select projects independently, reporting to senior management.Conduct site visits a couple of times per month (mostly Southern California).What We're Looking ForTechnical Skills:Strong background in process engineering and civil design.Proficiency in Civil 3D and familiarity with P&ID software.Ability to support CAD tasks and ensure technical accuracy.Experience:Typically 3–7 years in process/civil engineering roles.PE license preferred (or on track to obtain).Attributes for Success:Effective communicator and mentor.Interest in business development for future growth (not required, but a plus).Comfortable with occasional fieldwork and short travel.Nice-to-Have SkillsBIM interaction experience.Hydraulic modeling knowledge.Regulatory permitting expertise.Industrial project experience (laundries, food plants, etc.).Why Join Us?Clear Advancement Path: Grow into senior management roles.Impactful Work: Help shape critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects.Collaborative Culture: Work closely with senior leaders and mentor junior staff.Competitive Benefits:Medical, Dental, VisionLife & Long-Term Disability401(k) with matchPaid Holidays, PTO, and Sick Days
