Wastewater Engineer

Engineer or Project Manager for a diverse range of municipal water and wastewater projects. The role involves leveraging expertise in water/wastewater engineering to handle tasks such as water system conveyance design, storage, sanitary conveyance design, hydraulic modeling, and preparation of feasibility studies and master plans.

Responsibilities:

• Work in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment and contribute to the growth of the Water and Environmental Business Unit in Utah.
• Plan, design, and lead a wide range of municipal water/wastewater systems and facilities.
• Serve as a Project Manager or engineer of record, collaborating with a team of support professionals, including drafters, EITs, GIS technicians, and technical editors.
• Assist in business development efforts, including engagement in professional organizations and visibility efforts.
• Prepare proposals and coordinate with regulatory agencies for project permitting.

Essential Skills:

• Civil engineering expertise with a focus on wastewater and water resources.
• Experience in design, water main, and sanitary sewer projects.
• Project management skills.
• BS in Civil Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer in UT.
• 10+ years of experience as a municipal utilities design engineer.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal design standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (GIS is a plus but not required).
• Technical memorandum and report writing skills.
• Experience working with water conservation districts in Utah, local public work departments, secondary water companies, and other regulatory agencies.

Work Environment:

Enjoy a flexible 9/80 work schedule, with every other Friday off, working in the office Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location:

This is a permanent position based out of South Jordan, Utah.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
