Registered Nurse

Actalent is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join the team.

This role requires a dedicated Registered Nurse to interpret and enforce the objectives and procedures of the Nursing Department, while managing and evaluating the activities of all nursing personnel within the assigned area. The successful candidate will conduct daily conferences with unit staff to ensure clear communication of recent policy and procedure changes, extend courtesy to unit visitors, and coordinate with personnel to maintain adequate supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Endorse, interpret, and enforce the objectives and procedures of the Nursing Department.
• Plan, direct, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate the activities of all nursing personnel within assigned area.
• Conduct daily conferences with unit staff to review and communicate recent policy and procedure changes.
• Extend courtesy to all unit visitors.
• Coordinate with appropriate personnel to ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available on assigned unit.
• Provide consultation for unit personnel; resolve immediate problems, and communicate action to Unit Supervisor.

Essential Skills

• RN license with NYS licensure.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• 6+ months of experience in care management, case management, geriatrics, triage, and EMR.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Managed care experience.
• Experience with case management and geriatrics.

Work Environment

• The work environment includes a comprehensive orientation program from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, which is mandatory.
• The position offers two shifts: Day (7:30am - 3:30pm) and Evening (3:30pm - 11:30pm).

Job Type & Location

This is a contract to hire position based out of New York, New York.

Pay Rate: $58/hr

The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $58.00/hr.
