Phlebotomist
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist with at least two years of experience in phlebotomy. Candidates should be reliable, capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and possess a bubbly and welcoming personality with strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy, including blood draws, labeling specimens, and centrifuging specimens.
- Handle paps, putting paps together, biopsies, and swabs with appropriate training.
- Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
- Clearly and courteously explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection techniques as required.
- Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles.
- Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
- Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
- Verify all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure accuracy.
- Package specimens for transport.
- Store specimen samples according to required temperatures and protocols to maintain specimen integrity.

- Minimum of 1 year work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting

Work Environment
This position is based at a members-only location, not open to the general public like a PSC, with no weekend work required. The role involves working Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 5:45 PM at various Hotel Trade sites including locations in Sunnyside, Queens; Harlem; Midtown; and Brooklyn. Consultants typically work up to 45 hours weekly with opportunities for consistent work and potential for direct hire after the contract.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
