We are seeking dedicated and skilled histotechnologists for multiple openings in a dynamic pathology-focused lab. The lab offers flexible work shifts, allowing candidates to choose from 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts and determine their start times. The training period lasts approximately 3 weeks and will be conducted Monday through Friday on the chosen shift, under the guidance of the department manager. This role involves cutting, staining, mounting, and studying human tissue specimens to provide data on the functions of tissues and organs, as well as the cause or progress of diseases, all while adhering to established standards and practices.
The lab employs roughly 70 staff members and is equipped with up-to-date technology. The facility is a growing lab situated on Long Island with a primary focus on pathology. It offers an extensive test menu and processes over 150,000 specimens annually, making it one of the leading providers of cutting-edge FISH testing for various cancers. The pay range for this position is $83000.00 - $114400.00/yr.
This is a fully onsite position in Plainview, NY.
