UI Software Engineer

We're seeking a UI Software Engineer. Your job will be to architect and build the systems which allow our team of artists and designers to shine with a focus on performance and iteration speed. The UI team is uniquely poised to have a huge impact on our projects. We are often the driving force behind large features both in the frontend and in gameplay. We are a diverse set of developers with backgrounds in web VR mobile and games both competitive and casual brought together by a shared passion for delivering unparalleled user experiences!

Required Skills & Experience:

• Software engineering experience in video game development with coding C
• Strong understanding of: Match Flow & Gameplay Systems, Map Environmental Testing, Performance & Stability Testing
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with proprietary tools and willingness to learn new pipelines.
• Experience with bug tracking and test planning tools.
• BSc. degree or equivalent experience/education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Unreal Engine.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Perforce, SharePoint.
• Adaptable teaching skills for diverse learners.
• Shipped professional game projects.
• Used Unreal Engine and Unreal Motion Graphics.
• Built UI for games.
• Obsessed with the player experience.

Environment:

• Hybrid Full Time Role
• Remote: Monday and Friday
• Onsite: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Vancouver, BC.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00/hr.

Workplace Type:

This is a hybrid position in Vancouver, BC.
