Project Engineer

The Project Engineer plays a critical role in supporting project execution from start to finish. This position serves as a stepping stone toward a Project Manager role, providing hands-on experience in managing construction projects, fostering client relationships, and ensuring operational excellence. The role requires full-time presence onsite, with a daily per diem in addition to the salary. Upon completion of the project, relocation to another job site or transition to the office in St. Louis, MO, will be required.

Responsibilities:

• Support project execution from start to finish.
• Manage construction projects and client relationships.
• Ensure operational excellence in project delivery.
• Coordinate project activities including design, estimation, and change management.
• Review plans and specifications to ensure project compliance.
• Track production and costs to maintain budgetary controls.
• Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are met.
• Provide field support and document control.
• Prioritize a safe work environment for all employees.
• Foster effective communication and responsiveness at all levels.
• Own actions and decisions, focusing on solutions rather than problems.
• Bring a positive attitude and energy to the team.

Essential Skills:

• Experience in construction and project engineering.
• Proficiency in construction management software such as Bluebeam, AgTek, Vista, and HCSS.
• Strong skills in project coordination, estimation, and change order management.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site development documents.
• Experience in commercial construction and civil engineering.
• Capability in document control and project coordination.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with Vista for reporting purposes.

Work Environment:

This role requires working onsite in a fast-paced job site environment in Haskell, TX, supporting a data center build. The position demands adaptability to site conditions and involves working with a dedicated team passionate about their work. The role offers a dynamic work environment that encourages growth and advancement in the construction industry.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $70000.00/yr. Company Vehicle Gas Card 401K Health & Dental
