Project Engineer

The Project Engineer plays a critical role in supporting project execution from start to finish. This position is designed as a stepping stone toward a Project Manager role, offering hands-on experience in managing construction projects, client relationships, and operational excellence. The project engineer will be on-site full-time with a daily per diem on top of their salary. Organization within a fast-paced job site will be key to excelling in this role. Once the job is complete, you will be relocated to another job site or work out of our St. Louis, MO office.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects and client relationships.
• Ensure operational excellence throughout project execution.
• Coordinate project activities, including estimation, change orders, and document control.
• Review plans and specifications.
• Track production and costs.
• Monitor project progress and manage changes effectively.
• Provide field support and ensure safe work environments.
• Communicate effectively at all levels and foster a positive team environment.

Essential Skills

• Experience in construction and project engineering.
• Proficiency in design and construction management.
• Knowledge of Bluebeam, AgTek, Vista, and HCSS.
• Skills in project coordination, estimation, and change order management.
• Understanding of commercial construction, civil engineering, and site development.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Vista for reporting.

Work Environment

This role is onsite near Houston, TX, just outside of a major metropolitan area, supporting a data center build. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring strong organizational skills. You will work closely with teams on-site and in the St. Louis, MO office once the current project is completed. A positive attitude and effective communication are highly valued.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $70000.00/yr. Health Insurance Dental Insurance $178/day per diem (7 days) Company Truck 401k

This is a fully onsite position in Houston, TX.
