Transportation Engineer

We are seeking a Transportation Project Manager to join a well-established Civil Engineering firm in the Twin Cities. This pivotal role involves growing the firm's transportation presence in Minnesota, with the opportunity to build and lead a team, thereby capturing significant market share. The successful candidate will also develop a new service line from the ground up at this office location.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a transportation team and secure transportation projects for cities, counties, and MNDOT companies.
• Create marketing and bid packages, submit to RFPs, attend client meetings, and engage in business development.
• Manage projects from conception to completion, overseeing technical and design phases, scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance.
• Hire and mentor new and existing team members.
• Collaborate with company leadership to drive results and achieve company goals.

Essential Skills:

• 5+ years of project management and business development experience.
• 10+ years of transportation experience within the industry in Minnesota.
• 10+ years of roadway/highway design experience.
• Proficiency in civil engineering and MicroStation design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous project management role with existing relationships at MNDOT or with city/county officials.
• Involvement in professional organizations within the industry.

Work Environment:

The position is based in Roseville, MN, where you will work in the office to build the team. You will have the support of an established transportation team based in Wisconsin and other locations. This role involves attending client meetings and handling business development activities.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Roseville, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
