Transportation Engineer - Director

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer - Director to lead and develop business in the transportation sector. The ideal candidate will build and maintain relationships with existing and new clients, manage project schedules, and lead design efforts for transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships and grow business within the transportation sector.
• Develop business by marketing to existing and new clients.
• Meet with cities, counties, and local agencies for business development purposes.
• Responsible for design calculations, plan preparation, and direction of schematic designs for TDOT and local government projects.
• Manage and maintain project schedules and financial requirements.
• Utilize advanced techniques, theory, and practices in specialized engineering fields.
• Interact with clients and other consultants effectively.
• Exercise judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of standard techniques and procedures.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer, preferably in Tennessee.
• Proficiency in civil engineering, roadway design, and transportation engineering.
• Experience with Microstation, Geopak (or Open Roads), and TDOT procedures.
• Strong communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience in the relevant field.
• Ability to adapt to changes in work assignments and project needs.
• Proven project management experience with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to build strong relationships and lead a team of design professionals.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $165000.00/yr. Have the benefit package they will have PTO, benefits, 401k, ESOP, bonus potential. Lots of benefits working for this company.

This is a fully onsite position in Murfreesboro, TN.
