Transportation Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented Transportation Design Engineer with a passion for civil engineering and a dedication to excellence. The ideal candidate will either possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license or be close to obtaining one within the next 3 to 6 months. This role is perfect for someone with a minimum of 4 years of experience in transportation design, and we offer a fully remote opportunity for candidates with a PE license and over 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in the initiation of transportation design projects.
2. Prepare construction documents for review by the design lead.
3. Engage in roadway and highway design for both urban and rural areas for local agencies.
4. Understand the project lifecycle and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders regarding project progress and deadlines.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of experience in transportation design.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, Open Roads, MicroStation InRoads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience in roadway and highway design.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle management.
• Effective communication skills with clients and stakeholders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within 3-6 months.
• Experience in roundabout design is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with design software such as Civil 3D and Bentley InRoads Suite.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
