Test Engineer III

We are seeking a skilled C# Test Coverage Engineer to enhance the quality and reliability of our software by significantly increasing our automated test coverage. This remote position offers the opportunity to work through the end of the year with a possible extension.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new unit and integration tests to increase code coverage from the current level to 70%.
• Work primarily with a codebase written in C# with additional components in C++ and PHP.
• Ensure all tests are healthy, reliable, and provide meaningful coverage of the codebase.
• Integrate tests into the continuous integration pipeline to automatically run on code changes.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand code functionality and identify critical areas for testing.
• Monitor and maintain test health, addressing flaky or failing tests promptly.
• Document testing strategies, coverage metrics, and progress towards coverage goals.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of experience as a Test Engineer.
• Extensive experience writing tests in C# codebases.
• Strong programming skills in C#; experience with C++ and PHP is a plus.
• Proven experience in writing unit and integration tests in large codebases.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and continuous integration systems.
• Ability to analyze code coverage reports.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Game development experience would be a plus.

Work Environment

The role is remote, working closely with a team of 10 engineers. You will collaborate directly with team members who will be conducting interviews. The goal is to achieve 70% test code coverage, requiring roughly doubling the number of tests in our codebase, primarily written in C# but also containing C++ and PHP components.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
