Environmental Test Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Test Engineer to perform a variety of testing and management duties. This role requires conducting specified environmental chamber testing on a diverse range of products or devices for commercial, military, medical, or consumer customers. The position involves managing daily lab operations, scheduling, quoting, training, and facilitating audits while ensuring compliance with standard methods and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily lab operations including scheduling, quoting, training, customer witnessing, and audits.
• Conduct specified environmental chamber testing on products or devices across various industries.
• Perform testing procedures such as fungus, shock, and vibration testing.
• Ensure compliance with MIL-STD-810 standards.
• Develop technical documentation and test plans for customers.

Essential Skills

• Experience with environmental and shock testing.
• Understanding of MIL-STD-810 testing standards.
• Proficiency in vibration testing and environmental chamber testing.
• Strong project organizational skills.
• Ability to develop technical documentation and test plans.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with HALT and HASS testing.
• Knowledge of electronics testing and preventative maintenance.
• Skills in vibration analysis, altitude chamber, and humidity testing.

Work Environment

The work environment involves handling various test equipment and technologies essential for environmental testing. The role requires adherence to strict testing standards and procedures, ensuring a collaborative and detail-oriented atmosphere.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wayne, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
