Test Engineer

Join our team as a Hardware Tester, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and maintaining our robotic systems. This position focuses on conducting automated and manual testing using various robots and hardware fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Execute pre-defined and documented test cases by following instructions to set up and run existing manual and automated test cases.
• Work independently on projects while collaborating with developers, test engineers, and product owners to resolve any issues found during testing.
• Provide regular updates on testing progress and any issues encountered.
• Conduct and manage various testing procedures to ensure performance and reliability.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with oscilloscopes.
• Experience with Python programming.
• Hands-on testing experience with hardware, preferably robotic systems.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a lab setting with various hardware systems.
• Excellent command of English with strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage lab activities and work independently on complex projects.
• Hands-on experience in managing and debugging robotic systems.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve both mechanical and software issues in robotic applications.

Work Environment

The engineer will be responsible for testing hardware devices such as laptops and tablets for the Touch/Pen, Keyboard/Touchpad, and Sensors subsystems. The role involves working with a team of developers, test engineers, and product owners to ensure that the hardware is tested and validated thoroughly. The engineer will be assigned work through ADO work items.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
