Test Engineer

This role is dedicated to refreshing and modernizing existing optical test benches, many of which are up to 15 years old, while also supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts. The current test environment includes outdated hardware and legacy test code that can no longer be supported due to the obsolescence of original equipment. The objective is to redesign and refresh these benches using contemporary hardware, current test code, and modern software frameworks. This includes rewriting legacy test code and rebuilding test capacity with the most recent hardware versions. The ultimate goal is to align refreshed benches with new product platforms where possible, and meet increased test capacity requirements due to AI-related product demands.

Responsibilities

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
• Refresh and modernize legacy optical test benches (~15 years old).
• Rewrite outdated test code, including LabVIEW and Python.
• Replace obsolete hardware with current, supportable platforms.
• Redesign test systems with scalability and future products in mind.
• Enable increased test capacity for upcoming products.
• Refresh and redesign existing products to migrate them onto newer product platforms.

Essential Skills

• Optical Test Experience (5+ years).
• Experience in Manufacturing, NPI, or R&D.
• Proficiency in LabVIEW, Electrical, C++, Hardware, Electrical Engineering, Software Test Engineering, Oscilloscope, Engineering, Design, Troubleshooting, Test Fixture, Automation, Systems Testing, and Test Case.
